Usage FBK-Stadium
The FBK-Stadium is not just used for the FBK-Games and other international events as the European Cup Combined Events or the European Championships U23 in 2013 which the foundation of the FBK-Games, the Royal Dutch Athletics Organization and the municipality Hengelo want to organize. During the week the stadium is used for sports for all activities. The local athletics clubs also have their regular practices there.
Renovation
In the period 2004-2005 the stadium is completely renewed. In this renewal process they created an 8 lane 400 meter running track in the stadium. They also build a 4 lane 400 meter running track nearby as a warming-up facility for the athletes. They also build a new fully covered seated area. Just in time for the 2007 edition of the FBK-Games the new tribune around the track, with a capacity of 15.000 was realized. The stadium complies with all the international rules and therefore can be counted as an international high quality accommodation.

The stadium is designed by the architect’s bureau of Leijh Kappelhoff Seckel van de Dobbelsteen from Hengelo.
