The first Gold meeting of the 2026 World Athletics Continental Tour takes place this weekend in Melbourne. This year’s calendar features more than 280 meets, divided into four tiers (Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Challenger), with the tier determined by the quality of the competition and the prize money.

The Continental Tour was established in 2020 with the goal of creating more competitions and opportunities for athletes, growing the sport worldwide, and reaching more fans.

The Gold Tour consists of 11 events spread across 5 continents. Many athletes use these events to prepare for major competitions, such as the European Championships and the Ultimate Championships.

The FBK Games is the only international elite athletics competition in the Netherlands and is part of this competition cycle. With the Gold-label competition status held by the FBK Games, we welcome international athletes at the highest level, including reigning world champions and Olympic medalists.
