FBK Games 2026 recap
On 21 June 21 2026, the tropical 45th edition of the FBK Games took place at the Fanny Blankers-Koen Stadium in Hengelo, the Netherlands’ top international athletics meeting. Dutch athletes Femke Broeders-Bol, Niels Laros, Jonas Phijffers, Nadine Visser and Jessica Schilder all won their respective events. Fifteen disciplines and four para-athletics events were completed within two and a half hours.

Five Dutch athletes look ahead to the FBK Games
During a press conference for the FBK Games in Arnhem, five Dutch athletes looked ahead to the FBK Games, which will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Fanny Blankers-Koen Stadium in Hengelo. A total of 43 Dutch athletes will compete in the main program: 34 able-bodied athletes and 9 Paralympic athletes — a record number. According to meeting director Hans Kloosterman, this is a logical result of the outstanding performances of Dutch athletics at the international level. His goal is to see a sold-out FBK stadium.

Nadine Visser will also be competing on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the 45th edition of the FBK Games in Hengelo. The 31-year-old hurdler is the world indoor silver medalist and European indoor silver medalist in the 60-meter hurdles, and last year she made tremendous progress in the 100-meter hurdles, the distance she will be running in Hengelo. With her record time of 12.28, she ranks among the world’s absolute elite.

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, she will be competing at the 45th edition of the FBK Games in Hengelo: Femke Broeders-Bol. This time, she will line up for the 800 meters, a new discipline in which she aims to show the same dominance as in the 400-meter hurdles, 400 meters, and the 4x400-meter relay.

World shot put champion Jessica Schilder will compete in the 45th edition of the FBK Games in Hengelo on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Following her extremely successful 2025 season, the 27-year-old athlete hopes to shine in the ring again in 2026 with her four-kilogram shot put and is eager to come to Hengelo for the event. “I’m really looking forward to competing on Dutch soil at the beautiful Fanny Blankers-Koen Stadium. I can’t wait for the amazing atmosphere! See you in Hengelo!”
