Due to the expected heat, we have unfortunately decided to cancel the FBK Double Mile scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2026.

A level 5 heat warning has been issued for tomorrow evening. This means there is a real health risk for both participants and volunteers. Although the Double Mile is a relatively short distance, experience shows that many enthusiastic beginner runners take part in the event.

In consultation with the relevant authorities and our safety organization, it has therefore been decided not to proceed with the event this year. The safety of participants, volunteers, and staff is our top priority.

We realize that this news will be disappointing for many participants. However, given the weather conditions, we believe this is the only responsible decision.

We would like to thank all sponsors, partners, and volunteers for their commitment and support. And, of course, the participants who had signed up. 

Further information regarding the handling of the cancellation will follow as soon as possible.
