Para-athletics
Para-athletics at the FBK Games
Para athletics is becoming an increasingly important part of the FBK Games. In 2025, Paralympic events were integrated into the main programme for the first time thanks to the collaboration with the Reggeborgh Foundation.
The Reggeborgh Foundation and the FBK Games are strengthening their partnership to further develop the para athletics programme. The ambition is clear: to provide para-athletes with a fully-fledged stage within the same elite sporting environment as Olympic athletes.
Big names in para athletics have previously competed on the track in Hengelo, including Fleur Jong and Lara Baars. Their presence highlights that para athletics is not only inspiring, but above all elite sport at world-class level. These star athletes will also be present this year. Keep an eye on our social media channels and this webpage for more information and announcements regarding the para-athletes.
In the coming years, the FBK Games and its partners will continue building a stronger para athletics programme, featuring more international top athletes, greater visibility, and additional focus on the spectator experience.
One thing is clear: para athletics belongs on the stage of the world’s biggest athletics events, and at the FBK Games this development is continuing to grow stronger every year.
